There Be No Glory in Porch Piracy

Porch Piracy has become increasingly common over the last few years. In 2023, an estimated $6 billion worth of packages were stolen, and it’s only getting worse…. But FedEx is here to fight back.

Introducing Project No Plunder, an initiative by FedEx that will be delivered through stunts, creative partnerships, and advertising to help spread awareness and end porch piracy.

Stunts

Porch Pirate Wanted Boxes

To help combat porch pirates, FedEx will partner with RING to capture photos of those thieving “scallywags.” These photos will be put on WANTED posters printed on FedEx boxes that are delivered around those cities/neighborhoods.

Pirate Insurance
FedEx will offer an additional insurance plan option to ensure that all packages stolen by porch pirates will be eligible for full refunds.

To Catch a Pirate Hosted by Chris Hansen

FedEx will partner with Chris Handerson to create a spin off show called “To Catch a Pirate.”

Hidden Cargo Delivery Options

Keep the porch pirates cruising through FedEx “Hidden Cargo” delivery option. This delivery method will be a premium option for consumers who request their items be packaged in “hidden cargo” alternatives that blend in with the environment.

Print Ads

FedEx will add “pirate flare” to their advertising of ProjectNoPlunder.
